DESCRIPTION:The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Safety Council program
  is designed to help employers create safer workplaces\, reduce accidents\
 , and lower workers’ compensation costs through ongoing education\, trai
 ning\, and networking opportunities. Local Safety Council meetings provide
  valuable insight on workplace safety\, risk management\, OSHA updates\, m
 ental health\, leadership\, wellness\, and industry best practices while c
 onnecting businesses with resources and professionals across the region. E
 mployers who participate in the BWC Safety Council program may also qualif
 y for a 3% rebate on their annual BWC premiums by meeting program eligibil
 ity requirements. To qualify\, employers must enroll in a local safety cou
 ncil and attend at least 10 qualifying meetings or training sessions durin
 g the program year\, which runs from July through June. Additional eligibi
 lity requirements apply through BWC\, including maintaining current premiu
