A student leadership experience rooted in Wyandot County
Emerging Leaders connects students with local leaders, workplaces, community partners, and mentors while helping them understand how they can make an impact close to home.
County connections
Participants learn through local businesses, organizations, civic partners, mentors, and community visits.
Student-led capstone
Students work together on a community project and final presentation that puts leadership practice into action.
Real-world growth
The program emphasizes leadership, communication, problem-solving, public speaking, emotional intelligence, teamwork, ethics, and civic engagement.

The program is designed to be easy for families to understand, simple for schools to promote, and meaningful for businesses and organizations that want to invest in future local leaders.
Students and families
Emerging Leaders is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Carey, Mohawk, and Upper Sandusky. Apply for the January–May 2027 program at no cost to students.
