A New York native, Nancy graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York in 1980 with a bachelor degree in Nursing.  After moving to Ohio in 1993 she completed graduate work at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio earning a Master of Art in Education.
 
Nancy currently works at Blanchard Valley Health System in Education doing Leadership Development and is the Patient Experience Manager where she is responsible for developing and maintaining systems that create patient, associate and physician satisfaction. She is also responsible for data analysis, action planning and education for process and behavior improvements.  Prior to her role in service excellence she was the education coordinator responsible for staff development.
 
Nancy’s passion for health care has afforded her many opportunities to make a difference.  She has worked as a staff nurse on medical-surgical and pediatric units, developed and taught in an outpatient diabetic education program, was full time faculty in an associate degree nursing program and currently is part of the adjunct faculty in health professions courses at the University of Findlay.  She is an active community consultant on topics that facilitate leadership development and human capital.
 
As a fourth degree black belt she teaches physical conditioning and self defense.  When she isn’t spending time with her 3 children and 9 grandchildren she is competing in triathlons and weight lifting contests and is a volunteer fitness instructor at the local YMCA.
