Good Afternoon Beef enthusiasts,
Please find attached the letter and information about the Wyandot County Fair Beef Royalty and the Wyandot County Beef Ambassador interviews to be held Sunday, August 14th from 1 - 4 pm at the Upper Sandusky Chamber of Commerce, 108 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky.
Applicants MUST call Kathy Grasz at 419.674.6722 to set an interview time.
The Junior Fair Board supplies the sash and crown for Royalty, and the Wyandot Beef Association will supply the sash and scholarship to the Beef Ambassador.
Morgan Shane will be attending the interviews and judging applications. Morgan will inform all Beef Royalty of the judges decisions.
Kathy will inform all the Ambassador applicants of the judges decisions.
Presentation of awards to the winners will be held on Thursday, September 15 in the Show Arena at 8:30 prior to the Jr. Dairy Feeders show. Mike Thiel, President of the Beef Association will do the presentations.
Judging will be a point system:
Appearance: apparel, grooming, posture, handshake 10 points
Application: completeness, grammar, substance 20 points
Interview (each judge 10 points) 30 points
Oral Presentation (Ambassador only) 30 points
The interview judges will break any ties.
An alternate for Ambassador will also be selected in the event the chosen Ambassador is unable to compete at the state level or fulfills the duties as requested.
PLEASE help get this information out to all the Junior Beef project participants. Note: To become a Beef Ambassador you don't have to show beef. Beef Ambassador competition is open to anyone one who meets the qualifications.
