Spring 2014
New online forms make it easy to start and manage a business in Ohio.
It’s easy to do business in Ohio! Secretary of State Jon Husted recently expanded the services available
at Ohio Business Central, the office’s online business filing system. Businesses can now create a limited partnership and file for reinstatement, in addition to existing filings offered online - steps that previously had to be done with paper forms and through the mail. These enhancements are designed to roll out the red carpet to business and job creation by cutting red tape.
Ohio Business Central was launched in October of 2013 to simplify the business filing process. In fact, in the past six months, nearly 7,500 businesses have gotten started using the online system, with more than 1,200 businesses keeping their records current using the online forms.
