Latta Upholds Promise to Stop President’s Executive Overreach
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) today joined his colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives in voting to support H.R. 240, the FY 2015 Homeland Security Appropriations bill. The legislation includes five amendments, which will defund the President’s unconstitutional, illegal executive actions on immigration in their entirety.
“In December, we made a promise to the American people that we would do everything in our power to stop the President’s unconstitutional actions on amnesty,” said Latta. “Today’s passage of H.R. 240 is the fulfillment of that promise. We cannot allow the President to overstep his Constitutional authority, and this legislation will eliminate all funds to implement the President’s illegal actions.”
