State leaders promote business-friendly efforts

Ohio is working to create a regulatory framework that promotes economic development and makes compliance easier and less costly for businesses, Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor said Tuesday at a roundtable discussion with Dayton-area small business leaders.
Taylor touted the success of Ohio’s Common Sense Initiative, which reviews every rule proposed by a state agency that regulates businesses for their potential impacts on business, as well as public health and safety.

Kasich Administration Officials visit Southwest Ohio ahead of annual speech

As Governor John Kasich prepared to deliver his State of the State speech in Wilmington Tuesday night, members of his administration fanned out to visit other communities in the state. The visits served several purposes.
Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Director, Gary Mohr, was in southwest Ohio visiting the Lebanon and Warren Correctional Facilities.
