Latta Statement Regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Address Before Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) today released the following statement regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address before the United States Congress.

“This morning, Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed a joint meeting of Congress, which I was proud to attend,” said Latta. “The Prime Minster’s address was an important opportunity for members to hear directly from one of our greatest allies about the threats facing the Middle East, and especially Israel.

“A nuclear Iran not only poses a great threat to the Middle East, it poses a great threat to the entire world. Iran has proved time and again that it cannot be trusted, and until it changes its behavior, sanctions should not be lifted. The United States must continue to stand with Israel and prevent Iran from moving forward with its mission of becoming a nuclear power.

“I thank the Prime Minister for sharing his insights. Today’s address was an excellent reminder of the strong relationship our two great countries share, and I urge the Administration to take the Prime Minister’s words to heart.”
