AMERICAN RED CROSS PREPARES FOR BOOTS & BADGES PARTY

UPPER SANDUSKY, OH, MARCH 2, 2015 – The American Red Cross of Wyandot County 

is planning Boots and Badges: A Rockin’ Party for the Red Cross to celebrate local first 

responders. The 3rd

at the Elks Lodge, 320 E. Wyandot Avenue in Upper Sandusky. 

Guests of Boots and Badges will enjoy a great evening of food, games, 50/50 drawings, a silent 

auction, live music by local favorites 3 Streets Over and more.

“Boots and Badges is always one of the best parties of the year” says Renee Sherman, Chair of the 

Red Cross Advisory Board in Wyandot County. “The communities love coming out for a night of 

music and fun and to show support for our first responders and the Red Cross.”

Nominations are now being accepted for the First Responder of the Year Award and the Red Cross 

will present the award during the event. The First Responder of the Year Award is presented 

annually to a local firefighter, law enforcement officer or emergency medical responder 

for significant contribution to local first response delivery. Nominations are available at 

redcross.org/wyandot, all fire departments in Wyandot County or by calling (419) 310-3583. 

Nominations must be submitted by March 20. 

Tickets for Boots and Badges: A Rockin’ Party for the Red Cross are $25 and available at the 

Commercial Savings Bank in Upper Sandusky and Carey and will be available at the door. 

All proceeds from the event will support Red Cross services in Wyandot County. Sponsors for 

Boots and Badges: A Rockin’ Party for the Red Cross include: Commercial Savings Bank, Schilling
