REVIEWING TAX EXPENDITURES     

The General Assembly is looking into establishing a process for reviewing the effectiveness of state tax credits, deductions and exemptions. The Ohio Chamber supports the concept of a periodic review, but with some caveats. Here's the deal.

OHIO CHAMBER VOTING RECORD UPDATED AFTER SB 38 KEY VOTE

The Ohio Senate vote last week on SB 38, legislation protecting against the harm that can be caused when plaintiff's lawyers and the Attorney General team up to sue businesses. It was the first vote of the new legislative session to be included in the Ohio Chamber's General Assembly Voting Record. Also scored was the vote on a trial attorney-backed amendment that was a blatant attempt to substantially weaken the bill. Be sure to see how your senator voted on SB 38 and the amendment.
