Congressman Latta Statement on Tax Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) today issued the following statement on tax day:
“It is time to hold the IRS accountable. The United States tax code is entirely too complicated at nearly 4 million words; which is seven times the length of ‘War and Peace.’ We need a fair and simple tax code that will put our country on a path to creating jobs for hardworking Americans and allow them to keep more of their dollars in their wallets.
“Tomorrow’s good-paying jobs will come from the freedom to innovate from the ground up and not from top-down bureaucrats looking out for special interests. On this tax day, House Republicans are looking to create solutions to build a healthy economy that will empower all Americans to seek new opportunities and achieve a better life.”
