Good Morning,
Today marks the final day that you are able to register to vote in Ohio. With early and absentee voting beginning tomorrow, Ohioans will begin heading to the polls to consider three statewide ballot issues as well as voting for local candidates and issues.
While an "off year" election may not receive as much attention as the presidential or mid-term cycles, it does not mean that the issues and candidates that you will vote on are less important. In fact, the opposite could be argued, as is the case this year. With three ballot issues that determine the process of how state election maps are drawn, whether monopoly interests are able to exploit Ohio's initiative process for personal profit, and the legalization of marijuana, Ohio's future will be greatly affected by the outcome of these proposals.
Over the next 31 days the Ohio Chamber will be sending you weekly updates with topical, educational materials for you and your colleagues to better know the issues and the positions that we have taken as an organization. We also encourage you to share our emails and information with your employees.
Below you will find links that will help you register to vote, find your polling place, and learn more about the issues:
