CSI Construction Services Inc earns ABC’s Award of Excellence for their Health Partners of Western Ohio project in Kenton, Ohio

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) recognizes outstanding quality and innovations in construction at their Excellence in Construction and Safety Awards celebration.

Independent judges, representing a cross-section of construction industry experts, awarded more than 30 companies the awards of Merit, Excellence, Greener Tomorrow, STEP Safety, and Project of the Year.

Awards were presented November 20, 2015 at the Aloft Hotel Banquet Facility on the East bank of downtown Cleveland’s revitalized Flats area. ABC’s Excellence in Construction and Safety Awards celebration honors Northern Ohio’s contractor and their teams for exceptional construction projects and safety programs. The event was attended by more than 160 guests from across Northern Ohio. Award winners and their guests celebrated at a formal dinner followed by an elegant awards presentation ceremony.

Duane Frey, Owner of CSI and Janis Sunderhaus, C.E.O. of Health Partners of Western Ohio, were honored with the “Award of Excellence” for the Health Partners of Western Ohio Renovation project. Health Partners of Western Ohio procured a vacant grocery store in downtown Kenton, Ohio which was at that time a huge eyesore on the corner of a well-traveled intersection in that community. Once the building was purchased, Health Partners chose CSI Construction Services Incorporated, a merit shop General Contractor and a member of ABC to help transform the old run-down grocery store into a state of the art medical facility. In purchasing the timeworn building, as opposed to erecting a brand new facility, not only were Health Partners and CSI able to help renew and beautify the local, they were also proficient in renovating the structure into a medical, dental, chiropractic and pharmaceutical space to serve low income citizens that had not been able to receive healthcare.
