‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ to Play at the Marion Palace Theatre February 26-28

The historic Marion Palace Theatre is thrilled to present the blockbuster film, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ on February 26, 27 and 28.

Thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take you back again to a galaxy far, far away. In this thrilling continuation of the epic space story, the galaxy faces a new threat - The First Order, a fascist regime that has emerged from the ashes of the old Empire and is led by a new villain, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

Caught in a galactic war are two unlikely heroes: a stormtrooper defector, Finn (John Boyega) and a scrappy desert dweller Rey (Daisy Ridley). The pair comes across a droid, BB-8, who unsuspectingly holds a top-secret map with the location of the vanished Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). Together, the young duo joins forces with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to make sure the Resistance receives the intelligence concerning the whereabouts of the last of the Jedi Knights.

Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Anthony Daniels return to reprise their roles as, respectively, Leia Organa, Chewbacca, and C-3PO. Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Gwendoline Christie co-star. The film also features new contributions from composer John Williams and sound designer Ben Burtt, whose familiar palette of sounds have helped define the Star Wars universe.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action violence. The film runs 2 hours, 15 minutes. Show times are:
