Congressional Art Competition Winner to be Announced

FINDLAY, OH - Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) will announce the winner of the 2016 Congressional Art Competition at a reception held at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, Fisher/Wall Gallery on Saturday, April 23rd at 11 a.m. This year, 68 students from 18 schools located throughout Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District submitted their original artwork for the chance to have it displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

“The Congressional Art Competition is a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase the wealth of artistic talent in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District,” said Latta. “This year, we have had a significant number of submissions from our students, and I look forward to having the winner’s artwork proudly represent our district in Washington, D.C.”

All submitted artwork is currently on display at the Fisher/Wall Gallery in the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, 200 Main Cross Street, Findlay, Ohio, which is open for viewing Tuesday thru Friday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. At the reception, three honorable mentions will also be announced, and their artwork will be displayed in Congressman Latta’s district offices.
