AEP TRANSMISSION BREAKS GROUND ON NEW SERVICE CENTER IN WYANDOT COUNTY
NEW ALBANY, Ohio, July XX, 2018 – AEP Transmission, an affiliate of AEP Ohio, recently broke ground on a new service center in Wyandot County. The building, located at 330 Tarhe Trail in Upper Sandusky, will encompass about 37,000 square feet and will replace an existing company building located 3 miles away.
The larger facility will allow employees easier access to the vehicles and equipment necessary to maintain and repair electric transmission lines in the area. The building will also be closer to U.S. 23, which will provide quicker access to job sites.
The project is an investment of approximately $11 million and will contribute approximately $182,000 in local property taxes annually. It will house 25 employees.
Construction of the new facility is targeted for completion in the second quarter of 2019.
