Ohio General Assembly Standing Committees Announced: State Representative Riordan McClain Named Vice-Chairman of House Transportation & Public Safety Committee
 
COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House, Larry Householder (R-Glenford), recently announced standing committee assignments for the 133rd General Assembly. Local State Representative Riordan McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) of House District 87 was named as the Vice-Chairman of the Transportation & Public Safety Committee in addition to two other assignments as a member of the Ways & Means Committee and the Economic & Workforce Development Committee.
 
“I appreciate the faith our speaker has in my ability to lead and contribute on these committees that handle meaningful legislation for the state of Ohio. I look forward to my role as Vice-Chairman on the Transportation & Public Safety Committee. Technology plays a continuously growing role in our world and our roadways are no exception. As innovations are made, we need to be responsive and I’m glad to be part of that conversation.” Rep. McClain stated. “These committee assignments give me the opportunity to use my expertise and values to serve my neighbors in District 87 well.”

State Representative McClain is currently serving his first full term in the Ohio House of Representatives. The 133rd General Assembly will convene through 2020. Rep. McClain represents the 87th House District which includes Crawford, Morrow, and Wyandot Counties as well as the northern 6 townships in Marion County and the southwestern 2 townships in Seneca County. Rep. McClain resides in Upper Sandusky with his wife and children.
